You underestimate the agility of northern-type breeds, Nightgames!

But yes, this is a dog doing what dogs do, and parents not taking enough precautions to keep it from happening. It doesn't sound like the dog was acting viciously, he was just curious about the new 'thing' in the house and took it outside, which he has a habit of doing and the owners KNEW this.

really?? if you had a dog who occasionally "stole" your wallet from the coffee table, you would automatically go "he is going to steal my 8 pound child out of a crib!" ..... no, I dont think so.

they didnt see WHAT the dog did, but the baby sounds pretty damn beat up. so the dog could of easily been "playing" with it like a rabbit that it just caught- or it could of actually been having motherly- type instincts, and in its dumb doggie brain thought he wasn't doing any harm to the baby....... the dog will surely be destroyed, it could of played out different ways if he was not! he could of never do it again, or might of gone on and always had a strange reaction to the child, and possibly inflict more danger to the infants life. no matter what, a dogs life is not worth more then a humans.
Agreed. Plus, I wouldn't trust a husky-type dog with a baby alone, ever. *prepares to get flamed by everyone*
