The saddle is also too large for me, which causes me to put more weight into my legs to keep my feet in the stirrups. Why don't they make short people saddles? This could be why I hold my legs out in front of me, or it could be habit. She has done stuff, shes eight years old and I've had her since she was a yearling. The saddle was a present from my non-horsey parents, and it would break their heart if I didn't have at least one photo of me riding with it. It more suits my Quarter Horse and my fiance to be honest. I can make it shorter by punching holes in the leather but haven't had a chance to do it yet. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
