Good thread. I wanna see what people think/assumptions they've made on what type of person/rider I am for having Merlin. muahahah
I don't really ever assume anything about the person if I see the horse first. I more often will hold an image of my opinion on something about the horse if I've only seen the rider though. But that gets changed pretty easily.
Today I saw a girl riding her pinto horse/pony through the fields/XC course and she was... like... waving her hands on the reins up and down and really jerking around with her upper body. She seemed pretty solid of a rider, but I figured her for pretty obnoxious/snotty, an eventer likely/wannabe, and probably pretty loud mouthed/opinionated/higher than thou. And cringed hoping she wouldn't jump her horse with the various ways she was acting.
For all I know she could be the sweetest most oblivious girl in the world.
