This is horrible, because I do love them and the people that own them, but I often think "What, you don't want a REAL horse?" when someone has an OT Standardbred.
lol. Why aren't they real?

To the OP-I didn't get King (18+hh) to prove anything, even if I am 5 feet tall! ha. The mare I had before him was barely 14.3hh and had so many training problems that I didn't know how to deal with, I had a lot of trouble handeling her. With King, even though he is green and when he was fresh off the track, I don't have any issue with him.

I generally don't care what people do and what they ride. The only thing that makes me think those 'thoughts' are when someone REFUSES to do any other disciplin. They are dressage riders and that's that! No leaving the ring for them. A jump? The horror! A western saddle? Shoot me now! I'm not picking on dressage riders, I've seen it with some western riders, hunters and jumpers, etc.. I don't know, it just seems so boring for the horse. But I know a lot of horses don't like going on the trails and are quite happy to do the same disciplin.
Same for people who don't care what they do in an arena, but REFUSE to go on the trails. I know some people are nervous, but I find trail riding so beneficial to the horse.

(My 'S' doesn't always work. I promise I'm not referring to anyone as a hore. Unless I make it clear that that is my intent.)
