This made me go out and clean all my tack today.

As for the horse height preference mentioned by another user, I don't see anything wrong with that. I personally like 16hh+ horses but that's not so I can prove I can "handle a big horse", I just feel uncomfortable on anything smaller plus I prefer the longer strides. I have long legs that make even a 16hh horse like a pony in some photos

LOL, glad I could get someone to clean their tack! Every couple of months I will spend 3-4 hours per saddle and a couple hours per bridle taking it totally apart and cleaning, oiling, and polishing every inch, including cleaning the stitching with a needle (I go a little crazy, lol). Because of this and the every day cleaning, my mom's tack is as soft as butter
