What lovely TAs you guys are.. you either get pissed off that the student is wrong.. or ENJOY it???

Yeah, because let's either get angry at a student for not understanding the material, or take pleasure in it. Those are some GREAT options. image

Someone who gets the answer wrong because they're a lazy ass or don't care is entirely different than someone who gets it wrong because they don't understand. And on paper, you really can't tell the difference a lot of the time.

So you wouldn't get annoyed when a student tells you that cats are herbivores and need lots of fiber in their diet?

I'm not talking about misunderstandings or tough material here. Besides, my door is literally always open and I check my email multiple times per day. I love answering questions no matter how stupid and will walk you through something in as small a steps as necessary.

If, however, you do nothing but show up to class occasionally, never ask questions and turn in extremely sub-standard work, then yes, I get pissed off. And yes, I can tell the difference between "don't get it" and "don't get it and don't care". The ones who care ask you about it and make an effort, no matter how small. The ones who don't care simply continue to stare at you blankly or have the gall to tell you that they "had more important classes to study for".
