If you told me you had a paint or an app, I'd immediately assume you ride western.

If you told me you had an t'bred or a warmblood, I'd immediately assume you ride english.

If you told me you rode western, I'd immediately assume you just puttered around on your horse on the weekend. (Nothing wrong with that! It's pretty much all I do.)

If you told me you rode dressage or eventing, I'd immediately assume you had an expensive horse, fancy trailer and paid a fortune for board/lessons.

If you told me you did hunters, I'd immediately assume you were a teenager. (I just don't know any adults who jump!)

If you told me you had synthetic tack, I'd assume you were new to horses (hadn't commit to quality tack yet).

This is funny to me only because I ride a QH, and my roomate rides a Paint, and we both do eventing, and we have diamond in the rough (inexpensive) horses, and keep our horses at home and have no money to spend on board/lessons The only thing my roomate does have that goes with the above is a really nice truck and trailer.
