I'd like to see some of the arena-bound folks call us noobs after experiencing a competitive trail ride. Even a short one like a 25 milers weeds out the idiots. You first of all have to navigate those 25 miles and pace yourself to finish within the allotted time....and your horse is judged against its own condition....so rednecks who run their horses into the ground get a low score or are excused from the ride halfway. We have to jump over logs, climb up rocks, cross bridges, traffic, every known obstacle. I could probably never do dressage, I respect those who do. I don't think its to much to ask to receive the same respect.

I respect everyone's preferences for equestrian activities but it pisses me off when I can take my horse anywhere and ask her anything, but because I don't post, pay attention to the angle of my elbow, or wear shiny boots I'm a noob redneck.
