I trail ride a Leopard appaloosa with an un-pulled mane.
I must not know anything.
But wait! The local hicks that show their grade "walkin' hosses" at the local hick show in $300 buffalo saddles and nylon brides and t-shirts with the sleeves tore off and work boots... they're the experts cause they show eh?
I have an arena.. I work on bending, lateral work, leads and flexing... I do show when I can and I expect my horses to work softly in a snaffle and bend and work with the slightest pressure... I'm obsessed with body condition and I loath a bad topline... My tack is all custom made leather.. my saddles are all over $1000 each and my saddle pads are all Mayatex. No Ive never had a trainer or have taken lessons and the last two POA shows Ive done are my very very first breed shows... I read, I ask, I thrive on learning.. Learning everything.. I read about English and Dressage, -everything and I can swing the lingo in about every discapline. Becasue I love horses and am open minded and my biggest dream is to have healthy beautiful horses in well fitted tack that I can train and work with myself and someday show with confadence and pride by saying I did it all by myself. My dream used to be NBHA but now I would just be happy to do a few ARHA shows and POA shows and for the most part enjoy my horses at home in my arena or on the millions of miles of gruelling trails TN provides.
Don't mind me and my Crappy Appy.... We don't know anything.
LOL
First impressions are a bitch. Maybe I LOVE appaloosas becasue they are underdogs and I like proving people wrong! hahaha
