I don't like dishonest horses. The ones that have body language that says everything is ok and then freak out without any notice. I'd rather have a heads up... ya know.. a raise of the head and neck, prick of the ears, whites of the eyes... SOMETHING than have a horse "lie" to me.

To the person with the horse that cribs on plastic AFTER it eats. That's one of those acid tummy possibly becoming an ulcer symptoms. Try putting one of the tummy supplements U-7, neighlox or something. For real quick results try ranitidine (300 mg per 100 lbs)See if that doesn't help. Also a change of grain. Take the starch down a notch... divide the feedings into smaller portions, alfalfa hay. Cribbing after a meal but not out at pasture would SCREAM self medicating to me. Just my 2 cents.
