Which English seat?? Hunt? Dressage (balanced)? Saddleseat?
See I don't do the heels down thing. I like a level foot heel only a tiny bit down. Hunter riders tend to jam em down and really emphasize the heels down thing.
A balanced seat isn't all that different than a western seat. Hip under shoulder, heel under hip. Weight in the seat bones.
To show them where posting originates (from the core more than the legs) have them kneel on the ground and go up down up down from that position. They can see it's not a standing in the stirrups motiong but more a lifting of your core.
Two point should come later. That's more a balancing over the leg issue again, less about strength more about balance and lifting from the core. So.. tell them to start doing unreal numbers of ab crunches LOL
