fun2bahorse,
I don't know how tall this particular boy is going to be, but a yearling Appaloosa gelding I raised stuck an honest 16h behind when I saw him last Monday (at 18 months old). Foundation apps may be different, but modern show type apps are no different than their aqha counterparts in terms of build, height, etc. for their intended discipline. There is a lot of quarter and even thoroughbred in the modern type apps, which may (honestly don't know) be where some of the extra height is coming from. My colt is by an AQHA hus stud.

I had a trailer dealer say something similar to me shortly after I bought my mare. I was hopping for a new trailer b/c mine was too short. He told me I should have been able to use a 6' trailer for her (mine existing one was already taller than that) because "apps are only 14h" - and got hateful when I insisted on at least 7'. Sorry dude, my 16h app mare is NOT going to be amused by a 6' trailer!

snapmyapp,
CUTE boy! How is he bred?
