Yes, he's home. Took the camera outside, it died. Batteries need recharging. He's outside now working with her a bit in the arena.

It's weird. One of our geldings, Tucker, is a loner. The other 3 will be grazing together...he's in an area by himself. He's 3rd in the hierarchy (of 4), but he really doesn't seem to care. Will sometimes share his hay and grain with the bottom girl.

He has been very aggressive with the new mare. I'm surprised. I thought my mare (the alpha) might squeal and kick some, but Tucker pins back his ears and goes after her. It's not that she's coming into his space...she gets anywhere near the group and he's driving her off. He's usually the sweetest, calmest horse, so it's odd to see this much meanness in him.

I know it'll eventually resolve, but after just a little bit together (we kept them separate for the first bit), she's bleeding in about 4 different places. Small nicks, but still. We're thinking about leaving her in the arena for the night with some hay and a couple of buckets of water.
