"Chouette" is used mostly in european French, you'll hardly ever hear in in Canada... And I think "cute" is more or less the closest translation, however it's used in the place of "awesome" or "cool". (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong Callisto!)

"Débroullier" par contre, est utulisé souvent chez nous.
