What's your point, HH? There's nothing wrong with owning horses as "pasture ornaments". Some people don't *care* if their horses have jobs, and in a lot of cases, the horses probably couldn't care less, either. They are being well cared for and looks like they have a pretty good life, so I don't see the problem. Not sure why you seem to intend that remark as an insult.

Personally I see keeping a useful horse in a pasture & not having a future for it, kinda foolish. Especially a bunch of useful horses. As they serve no purpose or use & are just wasting. It's much cheaper to have a dog or dogs for that purpose. At least they can watch the property & at least alarm when intruders try to come in....& there are probably more dogs in need of homes than horses...

BTW, I remember NG said she was having to wait on having something done to one of her horses a while back due to finances. This kinda reminds me of people that start hoarding animals & get so many they can't take care of them properly. And with a new baby on the way soon, that's bound to pull on a family financially too....as there's too many true stories of people acquiring many horses with good intentions that turn bad....jmho...
