CF - you're just like HH - you love to lay traps so you can go ballistic - that's quite funny actually, I thought she was rather unique, but I guess not.. As you don't know me or my horse, your opinion is taken with a grain of salt and a thorough giggle. She liked and respected me prior to that day, and she has liked and respected me since. Ahhh - but like HH, you probably think I'm lying imageimage

Alpha denotes hierarchy - as in leadershp - I still believe that horses understand heirarchy.

...... I'm laying traps?? Going ballistic? Really?
Huh...
Interesting.

And I'm quite aware that horses understand heirarchy. Been around them my entire life. However, they don't read it as you do, darlin'. And you don't understand how they read it, at all.
However, you practice selective reading.. Always have. If you look at my post I never denied that horses have heirarchy... Read it again

Apples, my friend.. You know conformation, but that's about the only thing I've seen you demonstrate any real knowledge at.
You use the same language (when you talk about horses) as my best friend's mother.. and what that woman actually knew about "talking pony" .. I could fit in a thimble with room left over.
You've already told me all about yourself with the language you use. I'm not impressed.

***Edited the salty language per Goflipper.
Oh thank you, that reads SO much better without the body part references!

It does read better! Goflipper - did you have a hand in that? If so then thank you very much. Now if I take out all the insults and sarcasm this is what is left:

"I never denied that horses have have heirarchy"

So my question is: Where should the human be in that heirarchy in order to be effective? I've suggested 'top of the heap', but you seem to think I'm wrong, so you seem to be suggesting we might need to be second, or possibly last. I'd be interested to know your thoughts.

My little chickadee... Horses have heirarchy, but you, however, don't understand that heirarchy. And, as I have said before.. you may be "jefe" when you're handling them, but that does not make you the herd bitch. You are not part of their herd heirarchy.

You human.
They horse.
Okay Jane?

You are not the alpha mare.. you are just simply a .... bitch.

Oh, and being the one to dispense punishment.. does not make you a leader or an "alpha".. it just makes you, and I'm repeating myself, a bitch.
You don't have to be a raving cunt for a horse to respect you, or any creature (including people) to respect you.
You, though, seem to think that "fear of punishment" is the only way to gain respect.
You're wrong.

BTW: You're doing your little selective reading again.. which is the last resort of those who realize they don't have a leg to stand on.
Let me give you a little tip.. Trying to cherry-pick one little line out of what another person is saying, without bothering to comprehend the ENTIRE statement that contains that line, just makes you look a rat that's been backed into a corner. It does not make you look intelligent or even as though you have a goddamned idea of what you are talking about.
As my mother would say.. "You're a twit."
