But being quoted $15 000 straight off the bat sounds extrememly odd to me. If it had of been 'if everything goes right this will cost $5000 and if everything goes wrong the horse may still die and it may cost up to $15 000'. That would have sounded a little more normal.
Oh for god's sake. That is what was said to me by a VET. Maybe he did say "all in all it would probably end up at 15k". I was thinking I was going to lose my best friend, I was distraught. Forgive me for misquoting him, IM. I know for a fact he said $15k.
