Thanks guys-I am going to see the same PA I saw last year at the womens clinic on campus to start (it's free there)-last year she noticed metabolic issues (high good cholesterol & triglyceride levels) and diagnosed me having PCOS (based on symptoms), but didn't really correlate the two factors for me! I should be able to get meds fairly cheap on campus too!

She gave me some Omega-3 fatty acid pills to take for 3 months & sent me to the campus nutritionist whom suggested a heart healthy diet & OMG-I get really sick & shaky by 11 am if I eat cereal for breakfast & couldn't lose more than 10 lbs no matter how much I exercised & ate whole grains!!!!

My periods are fairly regular as long as I stay active (walking/riding/etc)-I'm not worried about the fertility issue-definitely don't want a kid while i am in grad school!

My major issues are weight, abdominal/back pain/cramps, depression (the horses do help tremendously with that), overall not feeling motivated (I use to be a morning person and now I hate getting up), and unwanted hair (getting laser hair removal)!!!

I have an appointment for tomorrow morning-wish me luck!
