We debated on Sunday about trying to get AHEAD of the storm or waiting it out and decided to go ahead, trying to get to the Confederation Bridge before the wind put it out of commission for any period of time. Bought groceries, hunkered down in our cottage for a couple of hours (which was RIGHT by the sea, yayyyy)... then we ventured out. Very little rain, quite a lot of wind... had supper then came back to the cottage and stood up to our knees in the waves while they broke. Pretty good sized waves but nothing too serious. There were some boogie boarders out in the water, with their dog, which we thought was pretty crazy. We stuck around each other within arm's reach... still the coolest thing I have ever done in my life - greeted a hurricane in the Atlantic with the most amazing group of girls I have ever met. Still some pretty good waves yesterday so we "bodyboarded" a little bit, and then they had died down today - only got sun today though.... and today was the day we left! Overall, though, Bill did NOT ruin my vacation.

Though I did get a pretty harried call from G (the guy I am interested in) after I sent him a text message saying we were IN the Atlantic "WHERE WERE YOU?!" he goes... hehe too cute.
