I'm proud of my country, and what my country stands for. Why should people be proud of their ethnicity? I mean, its meaningless and unimportant. Most ethnicities have a bloody past. (devil's advocate again)

How will we ever learn how to improve for the future if we don't respect what's happened in the past?

I honor the man and women that have died for me, and my liberties that I enjoy today. I honor the (ever flawed, but always improving) government in this country. Do I agree with Obama? Oh HELL no. Do I respect him as the leader that my country voted for, and the man I will have to deal with for another 3.5 years? YES. It's part of growing up, the whole respect thing. (not saying you haven't. But it really is a big part of growing up.)
