And you're hoping to change what exactly? You aren't going to get the support of others if people think you're being disrespectful.
I'm hoping to change a lot of things LOL.

But to keep it on topic about sitting for the pledge, and what that would change. Sitting for the pledge is a way to show dislike for the way this country is going. To NOT give my allegiance to a country I feel is moving in the wrong direction. To show others that I don't support.

As for not getting the support of others if I'm being disrespectful, well I highly doubt that the whites thought Rosa Parks was being respectful. Sometimes things need to get ugly, sometimes things need to get dirty for them to get better.

I think it's a bit unfair that you're comparing what the country is going through now to the Civil Rights movement. You aren't seeing people being lynched in the streets because of the recession.

And I find it slightly offensive.
I thought it to be a bit offensive as well. Many people gave their lives, their jobs, EVERYTHING so that all people would be treated equally. I don't think it's right to compare the Jim Crow laws to health care reform. . .
