I know you're not trying to pick on anyone, PDJ and dainty, but coming in and saying "I told you so!" doesn't really help.

I have my guys out as much as possible. There's not a lot of pasture, and we've got what we've got. Is it better to have 10 horses on three acres all the time, or to rotate? Do I want completely muddy mucky pastures, or some grass? We've compromised, because I want my yearling out 24/7. If we had more room, I would have her out too.

Similarly, I've worked at both western trail riding places and higher end English places. They're different types of horses. What I can do with my QH mare I can't do with my OTTB. They're just different. I went into getting my OTTB thinking "Bullshit, a horse is a horse!" and that has proved inaccurate. Hell, even my race-bred yearling, who has never been raced or stalled much, is more like my OTTB than my QH. Just different.
