Wondering why I have never seen a weather related colic. I'm not saying it does not happen, but I live in a place of extremes (last week we had two feet of snow, today it is 70 degrees), and I have never, ever, had one happen.

Working at the vet clinics I have seen colic due to feed changes, watering when a horse is to hot, not enough water, stress, pain issues, etc., but never weather. Maybe our horses adapt different here because of our extremes?

Expect more from your horse, and you will get it

When I ride my horse I get to forget I have a brain injury

I was the daughter who wouldn't lift a finger in the house but cycled madly off in the pouring rain to spend all morning mucking out a stable.
