That's her right to get mad at me. I'm not going to argue with her about it. I just appreciate she cares enough to be so vocal. If she wants, she totally believe that I know nothing of military families since my husband is coastie. It doesn't offend me.

I did however bring another thread about so that every one's voice can be heard on the subject of Afghanistan, since it seems to brought into every thread on this side. It'll be nice to hear what every one has to say.

I'm also interested in hearing more from military and spouses about the positives. I'd say it's been a great decade or more with solid positives, but as I mentioned in my OP, there is a long way to go. But that's what makes this country great: constantly evolving and bettering itself image
I am mad, furious actually, but not at you. Politics could cost us this war and possibly the lives of my loved ones. Anyone who loves a soldier needs to let them do their jobs and tell the politicians as much. The generals don't need our input and the president needs to stop playing primetime politics and fight a fucking war.

As far as Coasties I work with them everyday and it's the best part of my job. Also I work offshore and live in a city that is sinking so I LOVE the coasties. Shit, after Katrina the coasties were in my hood 7 days before the 82ND Airborne. They risk their lives everyday to protect our borders and resources. If my ship sinks or my levees break it's the Coasties who will grab me. As a USCG wife your experience is different then those who's hubbies are gone for 16 months at a time. That's what I meant to imply. Sorry.
