AE, I don't think she looks very cresty, either. I see a lot of fit mules & donks with that same kind of neck. Mister's neck is like that, too. And believe me, he has a belly that would make everyone on this forum want to kill me, lol! I talked with my vet about it, and she (and the vet tech, my former farrier's g.f.) both agreed he has a classic hay belly, nothing more. I was nervous that maybe he was IR, but they really don't think so. My present trimmer used to be a fitness trainer, and was musing that because Mister was a plow mule all his life, perhaps that had something to do with the way his gut is distended, maybe he worked the wrong muscles. Like if you use the wrong muscles when excercising your abdomen, you can actually get a tight paunch without getting washboard abs. Something to think about, anyway. I'll be interested to hear what her bloodwork says.
