If it's my horse I feel safe because I know what to expect with her. Anyone else's horse? I'm always a little on edge/ keeping on my toes. Who the hell knows what the dead broke horse may or may not decide to prove? I'm not overly cautious, but I wouldn't do half the things I would with Calypso.

1) I love the trail! Especially this one valley we have: it's not much, but it's the one place I can look at and forget how developed the rest of the area is. I especially love it when the fog rolls in, it's a creepy sort of beauty. I feel very safe there, it's just a matter of going out at the right time so no one in a motor vehicle runs us down accidentally (they shouldn't even be on the trail, but meh). Bikes, too, to some extent.

2) I feel safest anywhere depending on the day. I do feel some danger when I'm taking a few trails that have ledges, or if I were to go for a swim on horse back ( the people by the river are nuts at times).

3) Both.
