Ouch! Sorry about the knee.

Is there an option to part/half lease him out? That way you'd still be able to see him and work with him occasionally, but he'd be getting ridden and exercised in a way you can't handle right now. Obviously an in-barn lease is the best, he stays where he is and others at the barn can keep half an eye on him.

Another thing to consider is that he doesn't care if he's being worked or not. If sending off to a pasture to be a horse while your knee heals is the best option, he'll love that. Don't worry about him being "wasted" by being a pasture puff for awhile. Horses don't give a rat's ass about our goals, they just want to be horses. He'd be happy being a horse until you're ready to go back to work.

Hope you find something that works for you!
