I agree IU. The truck and trailer in the OP would be fine for local trips, but 8 hours is a long time to be pulling something that heavy. Especially if it does not have a factory towing package to help with braking or stronger springs in the rear.

If you absolutely must do this, stop every couple hours, let the truck idle down before you shut it off and go the speed limit.
