In 79 I'd just bought a new 150 with a 460 in it. & stock trailers were just coming into the country. We couldn't get into most of the pastures with the pots & there weren't chutes so I'd haul cattle in a straight truck & just back up to a hill or something & hoist the box some & dump um out. I could see where a trailer would be much better but the old man said we had all of those trucks around so we didn't need a trailer. Ya ought to have heard him bitch when I pulled in with a 16ft bumper trailer a few days later! Within a week he was bitching cause I didn't get a bigger one so I swapped it for a 20ft goose neck. Within a month he was bitching about it not being big enough again so I traded for a triple axle 28ft & pulled it with the 150 for a year. Far from safe but I was mostly on back roads so if ya used your head you were ok but I did have to put several sets of brakes in it. I could see that trailers were going to be big so I became a dealer & had a nice little side business & sold a bunch of um.
