OMG badges - at first I thought you were saying the filly had already been picked up and then you never heard from him again. My heart just about stopped! Geeeez. haha

vixen - I love it up there! Of course I've never been brave enough to head there during the winter months haha. It's a gorgeous campus - I guess it makes up for the crap weather most of the school year.

I would find a vet who does a one-hour coggins and make the other vet pay for it.
That's a good suggestion. This office is a lost cause, though, so I doubt highly that they'd volunteer to pay for it. When we first found out that the coggins wasn't back when they promised it, the horse's owner asked them to drive the result and certificate to the farm the next morning. The office's response was to a.) charge a farm call for that, or b.) "have Jack come pick it up," Jack being the BO who just got out of the hospital for a CHF exacerbation, who doesn't need to be running unnecessary errands. Nice, eh? So yeah, we don't expect that they'll take an ounce of responsibility for this since all they had was excuses and they're still claiming that they went by the book in handling this. She's just gonna stick with the copies and hope for the best.

mkd - that sounds like a nightmare! People just don't think about how their actions affect others. It's so damned unprofessional and I don't know how they get away with it!

td - it's no problem The shipper she lined up has been nothing but understanding and is definitely the biggest professional in the situation. I told her to make sure she brings a batch of freshly baked cookies and a six-pack of his favorite beer when she goes to meet them for the drop-off I'm sure he'll forgive her that way
