My other question is.....why is your husband in charge of how to haul your horses ? You know the right answer.....you have stated it here and I would not let the idea of an event of any kind risk it all. For male ego ? Nope. Good-Luck, best upgrade that truck or at least haul alone and reduce that load by alot.

image this is what my instructor said. She was like "I'm no so much angry that you can't take the truck, but he's making the decision."

No worries, I didn't abdicate my powers. I often wear the decision-making, smarty-pants jeans in the house. But he got the info on this, and since we BOTH want to keep the truck for 30 years, we want to do what's best for it. Unless I see unequivocal evidence that says no harm will come to truck or horses if I haul with it to Rougemont, I won't haul with it because I frankly don't know enough about hauling with this truck.
Why wouldnt you want your partners input? They #1 love you enough to care what you are safe in, and #2 know a heck of a lot more about your situation than people on the internet. Listen to your husband and his mechanic.

Expect more from your horse, and you will get it

When I ride my horse I get to forget I have a brain injury

I was the daughter who wouldn't lift a finger in the house but cycled madly off in the pouring rain to spend all morning mucking out a stable.
