lisa, I've hauled a lot. This is just the first time hauling for a long time with my new truck with two horses. As I said before, my dad owned and ran Silver Star horse trailers, and my sister and I hauled those trailers all over the southeast with our horses. I know how to drive a truck and trailer; I've been at it since I got my drivers license at 15.

I've hauled with this particular truck for a 7 hour round trip with one horse, and I've hauled two horses for less than an hour before.

Selecting the right truck, I clearly failed on. But I've been assured that it can safely get the job done by three separate professionals.

Bud has been hauled for 7 hours straight several times (with gas stops, flam! and not with this truck and trailer). And she most recently has been just hauled short distances (under 45 min) but a few months back hauled 3.5 hours one way for the saddle fitter (and back) with this truck and trailer. No problems. She just gets nervous the first hour or so and then settles.

I wouldn't call myself a seasoned hauler, but I know enough to be safe and cautious. And although Buttercup is not an ideal hauler, she certainly isn't dangerous. Just a lot of noise and pawing until she finally realizes she just needs to relax and eat her hay

Sorry I wasn't clear before.
