Most profs will be - or will HAVE to be because of policy - understanding if you show documentation. If you do not, they do not have to do anything. I have had profes that thought I was an idiot for missing ONE DAY of class for my grandfather's funeral and others who don't think it is acceptable when I stay home with life-threatening asthma attacks on the horizon. Documentation helped the latter and the first, well, she was a huge bitch. Said the same thing to one of my good friends when her DAD died. I would definitely be looking into a more radical treatment program or would take a medical sabbatical (you can do that here) to fix the problem because if you aren't attnending class, you will not be passing for much longer. *hugs* I know it sucks. I went through a serious depression my freshman year and could NOT get out of bed in the morning either. Thankfully, I hate late classes, so I didn't need to be up THAT early and could get up, go to my therapist and THEN go to class.
