Just jumping in to ditto what mulelisa, AutumnEffect, and MuleCrazy said. I did tons of research and for my first mule, bought a been-there-done-that absolute angel of a mule. It was still an adjustment switching from horses to mules.

Bud is my 3rd mule and is the product of a planned breeding of a mare I used to have. He is going to be a dynamite mule - the key phrase right now being "going to be." He turned 4 in June and has just reached the point where I judge him ready to be started under saddle. I love him and have enjoyed raising him and do not regret choosing to create him, but in spite of that, in hindsight, I should have just saved my money until I could afford to go out and buy a really nice, well-trained young mule.
