Jessie, the afwhs is not much more than a sport horse registry, it is basically one up from the clydsdale cross sport horse society. I honestly think they mostly promote poor crosses, as naturally the fresian does not cross well with many other breeds. It is severly frowned up to outcross this breed. Considering you only need to have 25% fresian in the horse for it to be registerable and no assesments are done, I would not use 'it is registered' as any sort of mark of quality.

I would be absolutely shocked, if this horse made any sort of an eventer, let alone at high levels. I think there are many better breeds and types suitable for this without going anywhere near fresian crosses.
