I can see using it to make a halt / whoa more solid, but I don't know how well it would work for most other things under saddle or in harness. I don't think it wouldn't work, but I don't necessarily (at this point) feel that it's something I would use. I did use it for Justin's first mountings, and they progressed exceptionally well.

Also, I have used it a bit with Rosie, just without the clicker - instead using the "good girl" marker. She had a heck of a time with the farrier several months ago, and so I've trimmed her feet myself the last three times. She definitely got more rewards the first time, at each tiny little baby step, then when I was done with each step, and now we've progressed to only rewards when I'm totally done with a foot.

I think it has a very valid place in some / many training situations. I like to have it available if I choose to use it.
