Each and every one of my horses has been Impressive bred. Yes, that includes Tango. All have been n/n. If they were n/h would I have bought them? Yes. If I had a chance to buy one in the future who were n/h, would I? No. Resale sucks and in this market I wouldn't want to be stuck with a high maintenance horse should I lose my job or? Have ridden an n/h horse, have shown a few. Heck, several non impressive bred horses I've shown have EPSM (that includes a few Arabs and a shire) who have very similar symptoms. All this fear, but each and every one of you could have a horse that could collapse at any moment. Had a friend who's jumper developed narcolepsy at age 13! Another who on a trail ride found out hers had EPSM and nearly fell on her. There are plenty of things that could happen...doesn't mean they will.

That said, If the horse was what i was looking for exactly, non symptomatic, otherwise sound and safe, and I was in a position to keep a horse for life should I not be able to sell it...I'd probably consider purchasing. Just not for 10k.

So you can beat a dead horse all you want, but a good vet pathologist will know.
