Exactly. My barb wire tattoo means something very personal to me and it won't mean the same thing to others. But for someone else who does not view it the same as I do, to judge me as 'unoriginal', it taking it a bit far.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but before dismissing someone elses opinions, shouldn't you at least find out what their opinion is?

For example, if you (a general you) saw a girl with a pink rose tattoo with initials, your first thought might be "how cliche - everyone has rose tattoos", but upon talking to the girl, you learn the yellow rose is for her mother who recently passed away from breast cancer and roses were her favorite flower. Wouldn't your opinion of that tattoo change based on the new information?
