I never said art had to have meaning or even a reason to create a piece. But why lie about it? I get it if its for a grade that you need to put some fiber in it but if your displaying it in a gallery it doesnt need to have anything said about it. Let people wonder what its meaning is , let them make something up that pleases themselves..
Or worse yet ask the intern or someone who works at the gallery to write a statement about it ::shudders::: I really disliked that particuler person...

My favorite piece of art that came through the gallery the artist found on the ground. It was a crumpled up note that a kid wrote about a bully on and sketched some designs on how he could get back at the bully. It was awesome. The buyer of said art would get the original note along with the painting.
