See, this is why you make/buy MORE than you intend to send out!

I make shortbread for Christmas, and I *always* have to taste each batch. How else will I know if it's good? I mean, so much can go wrong mixing butter, sugar and flour and baking it. It's not like any of those things taste good by themselves, and of course if the shortbread is not made perfectly it will taste horrible and not be fit for human consumption. In fact, this last batch just isn't quite right, and so I must sacrifice myself and eat it. For the good of everyone. Yup. *munch munch munch*
