Exactly, we try to be one. No one outside America can fully understand this without coming here for a long period of time. No one in America can appreciate this until they leave the country. After being out for a year, I discovered there were a lot better ways of doing certain things, but noting was as cool as hearing people from all different backgrounds saying so proudly "I am an American". There is no feeling in the world like that.

In England, they have a lot of different cultures, but they are very separated. If you would have talked to a guy from Egypt or Palestine or anywhere in the UK and asked him his nationality, he would have probably said "Palestinian" or "Egyptian" even though he probably holds a UK passport. It is different.
