Yes that is the point, ButI, which is why I admitted my own prejudice. We're allowed to be hesitant or hold beliefs about others so long as we keep the door open for new information on both sides.

I've met many Muslims (mostly Saudis). I have not met any Palestinians. I have interviewed the man in this thread before regarding computer stuff and he was very bullish over the phone. So knowing he was rather unpleasant last time and the fact that I'm a Jew, I figured it was a recipe for disaster. It wasn't against Palestinians in general, it was that he was not the nicest the last time we talked AND he is a Palestinian.

This was not an assigned article, but a chosen article; I could have easily said "Eh, I don't want to deal with it."

And I relished the conversation we had about Israel. It was a real eye-opener for me. He said he has had many friends decline to fight and be imprisoned by Palestinian forces. He also had his family's land taken from the Israeli government. He has real reason to hate Jews. But he doesn't. He just hates the government and wants reform.

It was silly to balk. I was just admitting that there was that moment of hesitation in my own self.
