For most of my life we've traveled to either my Mom's parents or my Dad's parents for Christmas, so we never really had traditions of our own. But now we've started having Christmas at our own house. On Christmas Eve we like to try out new things. Last year we had lobster, crab, steak, and rice pilaf. This year we're having fondue with a variety of meat, and I'm not sure what else. On Christmas morning we will have bacon, eggs and hash browns. For dinner we'll have something light, and then for supper we have turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, yams, jello, cranberry sauce, etc. At my Dad's parents we have a real traditional Polish Christmas, perogies, kielbasa, saur kraut, cabbage rolls, borscht, and some other things. For cookies we make gingersnaps, sugar cookies, butter tarts, shortbread, hay stacks, and we also make cinnamon buns, and a couple kinds of fudge.
