I've made Portuguese sweet bread, and have to make more tomorrow. My mother was half Potuguese, so she always made this. I give some as gifts with homemade grape jelly and apple butter. I've also made Toll House cookies, sugar cookies, with cookie cutters from my childhood, pecan butter balls, and peanut butter mice (I'll have to take pics - they look like mice and have peanut ears and red licorice tails). Christmas morning we'll have toast made from the sweet bread, and chocolate-covered pretzels that Santa brings! Christmas dinner - ham, lamb, corn fritters, mashed potatoes, and I still have to make pumpkin pies.
