Just wanted to add- your two biggest health risks are respiratory infections from breathing hay dust all trip without being able to lower the head to cough it out, and impaction colic from not drinking enough. You can reduce both problems by feeding wet hay or (even better) soaked hay cubes. Also, booster your flu/rhino vaccines about 2-4 weeks before you leave.
