Gosh watching you makes me want to go back outside and work like that.
I know my young horse would be awesome for that, and it just looks awesome to be that free and have that trust.

You know, I can't even begin to describe what this horse has allowed me to accomplish. I would NEVER have done this last year, never done a flying lead change, a reining pattern, a large fast circle(are you kidding me, I've never done faster than a pleasure horse lope!), yet working for my boss and buying her, I was able to TEACH her these things and improve on them everyday. She was amazing when I bought her, solid on her leads, STARTED on spins ,but not a finished reiner by any stretch, a lot had to do with her personality and talent, but I really have to give myself a lot of credit, she wasn't this nice 8 months ago when I bought her. This horse has helped me SO MUCH with all the other horses I started and worked with at work because I have a lot more trust, but not enough to be dangerous with those colts!
Well, I could talk about Famous all day and just how far I've come as a rider bc of her, wish I had videos to show but I guess I explained it well enough in this short novel lol

ETA- She actually wouldn't ever turn without spurs, NOT to say she was ever picked at with them on (I had to learn how to use my spurs correctly, I had never use them before), but I'd ask with my body, bring my rein across her neck, and if I got nothing, one roll(which, if you've never learned how to "roll", it ain't easy footwork at first! lol) of the spur and she'd go into them. I was nervous taking her to school, beign without my trainer/boss and actually, I slowed things down for Famous, and taught her to LIKE going into the spins. She actually didn't know how to do them by herself..she was kind of, spin spin spin really fast and dodge out as soon as my leg was off (shes ALWAYS had the speed, but LORD NO footwork at all) so rather than skip steps, it took me 2 months to go back at school, and now shes actually gotten her own style, obviously I'm not pulling her head down and nose to the ground for the spins and backups without a bridle lol, so I've gained a TON by backing up, and slowing things down to get something correct and pretty. I dunno, that took a lot for me to do, but I know she's got the speed when I start asking for it, she always has! I need to do a training blog, I guess I type a lot when I'm passionate about something
Thanks Nahlah The lope will come!
