I have a cheapie English saddle lying around that I haven't had any luck selling and am never going to ride in again because it's a 17" and
I'm a 19". But it still looks really good, and I thought it might be fun to make a stool out of it. I've seen western saddles used as bar stool
seats, but never an English saddle. I'm wondering if it's the (saddle) bars that make it possible, so that maybe an English saddle wouldn't work.
I'd love to give it a try though.
So far, my googling effort have been largely unsuccessful. I did find this wierd contraption:
I also found this one, which is something I've seen before. This is more what I'm going for, just with an English saddle:
Do you think I could go to a furniture maker and ask them to put something together for me? Or should I give it a go creating it myself? Or am I just being a complete twit?
