Here goes- yeah, totally sux, feel dreadful for you, big hugs <-- not patronizingly either, for real the situation sucks, I am sorry you are going through this right now I surely have electronic affection for you, and don't tire of your stories. You might not want to read the rest but here goes- First, while it is always "ok" to indulge in a little self pity, it is not ok to wallow in it. I know for sure you have been hit and hit and hit with nonsense of late, but if you let it get you down, it will keep you down. Here is where the term "buck up" comes in. You need to take a deep breath and drive on, feeling sorry for yourself will surely only bring more sorrow. Go to the shows and do eveything you can to support your team, that will help them emotionally as much as your actually riding with them. Be optimistic and hopefull that you will have a speedy recovery and you will. Second, good God woman as the leader of the team, you are supposed to prefer injury to yourself before your team. I know that is outdated or corny or whatever, but that is a good leader, that is why a good leader inspires his team. Ok, so even if you rolled your eyes at that, never wish something onto someone else, and not for their sake, but for yours. I are a big believer in the theory that things like that come back to you, sometimes worse. Third, QHS, Cheyenne, et al are spot on with the "it could be worse." If you can embrace that concept, you can get through anything. And I mean anything. Fourth, I also happen to be a firm believer in the "shit happens for a reason" mantra. Seen it too many times. Perhaps if you hadn't been sitting these shows out, you could have taken a fall that left you far far worse (ala C. Reeves) or perhaps someone will get an opportunity to shine because you aren't outshining them. Maybe you will have a better job opportunity come along because of your lay-up. You never know, but for ever detour life throws you, there is a new route to take. To sit and lament your woes could cause you to miss the opportunity that was presented as a result. I know I know you are only venting on the internet and that is a good thing. This probably is the only self pity you indulge yourself in, the rest of your life I am sure you are "bucked up." I's jes trying to be all helpfull n sheet.
