I posted a few days ago, worrying about whether or not our new kitten was going to survive his bout with feline herpes. The good news is that he's now
eating and drinking. He no longer has that "loose skin," dehydrated, wasting away look.
The bad news is that he hasn't opened his right eye in over a week. It's the first eye that developed conjunctivitis and although it doesn't "ooze" any more, occasionally, when he cleans it, there will be a red discharge. But also, his left eye is so gunky at times that he can't see very well out of that one, either. We're doing all the meds recommended by the vet...eye ointment, supplements, etc.
Does anyone have any experience raising a blind kitten?
Here's an "awwwww" picture of him sleeping. He can't stay an indoor cat (I'm allergic), but until he gains weight and is healthy, he gets to be indoor/outdoor.
