The last few days I've been searching for a beginner horse for my husband. I saw an ad today that had potential until I read the part where the horse was
advertised as being "off in the front end" but he makes up for it by being really, really broke. Umm. Huh? Yeah, he's lame in front but
he's still a good deal because he's really, really broke? Who would want that? I want ON in the front (and back) end AND really, really broke. Why
wouldn't they say why he is off in the front end...say absessed feet that need rehabbing before you ride him BUT fix him up and you'll appreciate the
fact that he's really, really broke, and THAT'S a good deal? 'Cuz saying it the way they did sure sounds like 'well, he's off in the front
end but whatever, he's really, really broke, ride him anyways'.
Sigh. I don't think being super-duper broke makes up for what sounds like serious soundness issues.
